Alexis
Broadcasting Company,
has purchased the syndicated “Driver Show” for an
undisclosed amount from Cool-Broadcasting Company. The
takeover becomes effective on Friday October 1, 2010.
Alexis Broadcasting Company is
owned by the host of the Driver Show, Award Winning Broadcaster,
Stan Campbell. Steve Graham was the original creator of “The
Canadian Trucking Radio Show”, which evolved into the more
mainstream “Driver Show”. Graham and Cool-Broadcasting produced
and syndicated the show throughout Canada, in select markets in
the USA and in Europe. Alexis Broadcasting recorded the dialog
portions of the show in the Alexis studios in Niagara Falls with
script-writing, post-production
and distribution

completed by Cool-Broadcasting in
Nashville.
Campbell had indicated an
interest in obtaining a more “hands-on” involvement in the
production of the show while Steve Graham was eager to free up
time to pursue other projects, programs and features.
Although no concrete plans are in
place yet, Stan Campbell has indicated that he plans to make
some minor changes to the show. The program will also become
more targeted to the Canadian market. The Driver Show will
still continue to wrap the show around a mix of Today’s Country
Music and Recurrent Oldies. There will be no interruption in
delivery of the show to affiliates.
